Portfolio > 2002-2003

Some of the first works I made after getting a house in the Hudson Valley were made on the old wood salvaged during the renovation of my studio. I took inspiration from the remnants of paint left on the old wood and riffed on that with color interventions of my own. In other pieces the color interventions were inspired from landscape color notations made in situ in sketchbook studies. The move upstate saw a big change in my work and process.
